I saw it before. I fucking hate these things. I normally spray them with wasp killer and their legs fall off and they die a painful death but this time, it's different.

I've heard they eat other bugs and spiders and whatever. I only hate them when I see them (because LOOK AT THEM) but if I can't see them, I don't know they are present so I don't know or care really... and this one DIDN'T want to be seen. It knew it fucked up. I'm not gonna toss furniture around looking for it and I'm not gonna spray chemicals all over my apt. to try and kill it. I'm gonna fuck off and leave it alone and hope I never god damn see it again... but if it eats a few spiders and mosquitos and shit, it's doing me off screen favors and I like that...

@dolomedes weigh in bro am I making the right call or setting myself up for a death right out of that Stephen King Mist movie?

Im more afraid of these things than any other bug in the southeast. I took every piece of furniture I had out of my room to find one earlier this year bc he had crawled in there at midnight and I couldnt sleep knowing it was in there

Those things bite and are venomous just so you know. Luckily the venom is pretty much harmless to humans and they usually scurry away before you get close enough so you pretty much have to pick it up, lie down on it or something like that for it to actually bite you.

House centipede is harmless to humans and they eat other bugs but it would have to be starving or stupid to go after most spiders.

It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

I like bugs generally and understand the house centipedes many good aspects, but they are scary and hard to remove without killing.

Their legs continue to move after the fact too... they may even release a few at will, like that lizard tail tactic (which really works, Ive experienced it many times). All in all, nightmare material, glad I moved to a place that doesnt have em.

I see them every now and then, and just let them go about their business. I think they're kinda neat

I found one of these yesterday for the first time in my basement. My cat was trying to either eat it, kill it, or play with it so I got rid of it.
