Huh. You know, he may not be wrong. Gamestop may actually get a bump in profits when the next consoles launch. I'm not saying Gamestop has a bright and rosy future. But theoretically, you could buy low now and sell after the launch of both systems. Possibly earning you a bit of cash.

I really don't think the issue is the lack of new consoles. It's that there competition taking all their business.

It's mostly the industry shifting towards the convenience of digital. You're right though, new consoles won't be enough to bail them out. This dude banking on that and using it as a pitch is absurd.
