I fucked it up way too hard the last decade or so, and I see no light in the tunnel that is my attempt at recovering. Still years away at best. I'd even be willing to start over from the very beginning just to try to change it.

Sorry, but you'v already rebooted your life the maximum of 3 times; unfortunately, the "one thing to remember this time" seems to have failed you each time.

We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Yo...I don't know you or your situation but you just need to take it one day at a time. I didn't take school seriously during high school and the early pert of my twenties but I got my **** together, graduated, and earned my CPA license. You can do it just focus on the little goals that will eventually get you to your main goal.

Congratulations today is the first day of your new life!

Stop worrying about your past and even your age start fresh today and make the rest of your life the best of your life.

You cant change the past but you can change the future work towards that instead of worrying about the past. You must learn from your past mistakes move on from it and use what you learned to make your life from now on better.

Are you thinking that is impossible, or not worth it? Then that is the first change you need to make. Stop being negative, or even listening to the negative ideas. Push those thoughts aside and try your best as even if you fail at least you tried, and every failure is just another thing to learn from on your road to success.

I flunked out of college and killed what little social life I had and spiraled deeper into depression

I'm back in college now but I'm going to be 27 or 28 by the time I get my damn bachelor's, and still have no social life, and feel like such a fucking failure

I nearly flunked out of college my first year and a half. Got it together by the Junior year and worked my butt off and turned things around.

I didn't go to med school until I was 27 (most people there were like 22). That said, we had several students in their 40's.

It's never too late until you decide it is.

Also, your 30's are much younger than you think they are.

When you hit your 30's you start thinking you're starting to get old, but let's get real here - you're not.

What would you do differently if you literally COULD reboot your life?

Just do that now (or whatever it looks like now, at this stage in your life).

Social skills are hard; fake it until you make it. People will like you better when you like yourself, or at least pretend to like yourself. Not in an arrogant way; just be pleasant.

What are you studying in college? Do you like it? Is it fulfilling? Does it allow you to pursue your passion?

Other people doing it later doesn't really stop me from feeling like a complete failure. I used to be smart af. 33 ACT score, 2100 on the SAT, shit like that. And I've done nothing with my life.

I do pretend to not be miserable in social settings already, doesn't really seem to get anyone to like me at all.

Studying accounting. I guess I enjoy it. I don't really have any passions.

I don't know, it was too long ago. I think I scored roughly the same on everything with math being slightly the best.

I can't bring myself to spend what little money I have to go to a professional just for him to tell me "it's not that bad, other people may be in worse situations, just go do stuff until you can do that stuff"

I've been awake for an hour and 45 minutes and still haven't gotten out of bed

I'll tell you what a professional will say: "Focus on the things you CAN change."

Now I'll tell you something similar, but more helpful: Confidence doesn't work like a light switch you turn on and off. It's like leveling up in an RPG. It takes work. It takes time. Stop beating yourself up and start working on your confidence. I'm still building mine. Women want a man with confidence in himself.

There's mounds of evidence that disagrees with the latter.

Do proper research and get yourself on proper medication. Unless you're just going to keep making these topics while disregarding everything else people tell you.

Hey man, a lot of people are looking into crypto to reboot their lives and give themselves a second chance. I personally am investing in Chainlink, which is trying to tackle the oracle problem, the main problem that prevents smart contracts (brought to life by Ethereum) from finding real use case scenarios. Oracles are essentially the HTTPS protocol for blockchains, so if you have $30 to burn, why not invest in Chainlink and see what happens? Who knows what would happen, or how the world will transform a year from now.

Google is in on it. Oracle made a presentation that they're going to help build up the community. Facebook is guaranteed to use it for their Libra coin which is going to enslave the world currency wise. Microsoft just had a conference, Trufflecon, where Chainlink's tech was showcased. And so many no name crypto projects are using it alike in efforts to become a recognizably named project. I can assure you it's no snake oil deal. It's world changing technology, in fact, all of blockchain technology is going to revamp business and the world as we know it down to the DNA.

Even if you refuse to spend a dime, I fully recommend you read up on the potential that blockchain technology offers and what smart contracts offer because that is the true job killer in the future. There's a TED talk on the blockchain readily available on Youtube. And googling "Chainlink God Protocol" or "Chainlink parallels world wide web" would be a good start to see what I'm talking about with Chainlink.

But you do have a point that I am out of bounds coming this way. You have to be in the right frame of mind to talk about money. So this is the last time I'll mention it here.
