These were my *shit* as a kid. And lately I've really been missing them. My mom apparently sold them while I was in college.

I dunno, this would probably be a really dumb thing to collect. But the prices don't seem *that* bad...

That line was legit.

The best part was how long Toybiz kept it going. When they ran out of material they started just going all in on whatever they could. "Blade was in an episode? Make a whole wave of Vampire shit. We featured Symbiotes in three episodes? Do a whole Separation Anxiety line."

I had the Daily Bugel playset, and one day when I was at my friends house my mom just up and threw it out for absolutely no fucking reason and I never forgave her for that.

I remember they made a toy of Spider-Man wearing armor that he never wore in the show. Then the Super Nintendo game came along and made it a power up.

Toy companies are wild when they run out of ideas.

Stuff like this happened all the time with Star Wars, too. Random Chewbacca variants, Han with a bright orange chest armor chassis that fired missiles, etc.

Sadly I don't think any of it appeared in games, though.

This one?

If so, this was my favorite figure as a 5 or 6 year old. It literally didn't show up until the last episode where Spider-Man went to an alternate reality where he was basically Tony Stark.

But, the toyline didn't make it up. It was featured in the comics

I remember the episode. (Along with the Stark-esque Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy cameo.) But I don't remember that armor. I guess that sounds about right though. At that point, it's more of a shout out than anything.

It kinda reminds me of the character of Ace Duck from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He was one of the original toys, but the creators of TMNT were able to block other mutants from appearing in the first season of the cartoon. So instead of being a mutant ally, he was a fictional character on a TV show the turtles watched.

It's a real dick move when parents do that sort of thing. It's not like your mom got much money for those things and really how much space did a box or two of action figures free up?

The "Spider Ock" figure also popped up in the second to last episode I'm pretty sure.

The Alien Spider-Slayer never appeared though. He was in the toyline and the video game. But not the show.
