Maybe a little over 2 years. My brother has a 2000 dollar pc and honestly I'm not that impressed with the differences. And his pc was designed to be a gaming PC. So im somehow doubting that when i bought my ps4 I could have bought or built a pc for 250 that was worth a shit for gaming. And having to buikd it would definitely be a deal breaker for me. It could be easy as hell but there are things id rather be doing with my time. ps4s performance is good enough for me Also to add onto the bit about id rather do other things with my time I worked 12+ hour shifts 6 days a week when I bought my ps4 so yeah i didnt exactly have a lot of free time on my hands to tinker with something I dont know a lot about. Doesnt mean much when the 360 games looked not much different in the end and was a far cheaper console. Anything that was multi-plat was developed more towards the 360 because it was easier, but the PS3-exclusive games basically blew everything on the 360 away. That being said, the Blu-Ray player isn't as relevant to graphics. E: Also when you say "far cheaper" we're talking $200 (for the only launch 360 model that was actually worth it). It also didn't come with a built-in Wifi adapter and if you wanted one of those it was $100 on its own. With that said there was like one fucking exclusive for the ps3 I wanted. And one game isnt gonna a justify a console purchase to me even if said game is one of my favorite series. Wi fi I never cared about. I didnt play online and I used a ethernet cable or whatever it was called. But on what you say I coulda bought an adapter and it still woulda been cheaper than a ps3 And now only by $100 and missing the blu-ray player, HDMI out, a hard drive that's a third of the size, and probably a couple other things I can't think of off the top of my head. Actually never really had any issues with the hard drive size. Didnt run out of space until after I bought a ps4. Then again I didnt really start buying digital until late in the gens life span. Aside from small games like castle crashers anyways. Most people I know that online game though swear by corded connection over wi fi though.
