A girl went missing. It turns out she was murdered by her roommate.

There was a thread about her and the roommate posted some creepy things in the thread and others called him suspicious. Then a few days later he got arrested for the murder.

I don't find the past tense suspicious at all. If I was talking about someone I haven't seen in awhile I'd say "we had good times" too. But the rest of his posts were suspicious so seems like a lucky guess for Grant.
