Anytime there's a music discussion on hating these genres, most people find it cool/fine to hate on country music, but lord forbid you do the same to hip-hop. People will tear you apart for that one.

I'm not a fan of either really, but I do like some old school country, but it has always annoyed me how it seems fine to the general public to hate on country, but it's a no-no for hip-hop.

Music is easily one of the most subject things there are. Like the legends of Country to me are far superior to the legends of hip-hop.

I didn't say it was racist, but there are certainly people who hate hip-hop for blatantly racist reasons.

Easily. I live in a rural area and when I hear people either blasting the latest country station, or hear it in any local shops, I wanna rip my ears off. But it's the same with rap that I have to hear as well. For every Kendrick Lamar that I don't mind, I have to hear stuff like Lil Peep and that XXX dude.

What matters is that you enjoy it and won't back out from liking either genre just because you might offend the vocal haters. I love country and shit on the hip hop 'legends' all the time. Both genres have their coals and diamonds, it's on you to separate and find them between the two.
