Fortnite is free but it makes money by selling a $10 seasonal battle pass and digital items such as clothes, weapons, dances and reactions for players..and it made it in just ONE YEAR!! It racked up 125 million players, a majority of whom spend money on the game. Iphone users spent 1.23 million every day which means the game made nearly 40 million a month from iPhone users. It also had success on consoles and pc, android and ios as Epic now has a value of 15 BILLION It's investors, KKR, Kleiner Perkins and Lightspeed cashing in on a 1.25 billion slice of the company. It was founded in 1991 and they haven't given revenues for the game but the massive profit suggests the games' success.
