Seems like a lot of actors get their break out hit and then in their later career split their time into two things: awful cynical cash grab popcorn flicks and high-tier art that nobody watches.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gerard Butler is doing some cutting edge indie theatre on the side just to let his creative side loose.

A lot of actors do that. Get a couple big enough movies to get your name out there, then ride out your fame in a ton of shitty movies that are willing to work around your schedule to keep paying for your homes and vacations.

I haven't heard his name in a while. Last thing I remember from him are those Olympus has Fallen movies
