Agreed. I could play Abyss combat all day.

Wish I hadn't lost my copy. I got pretty far in the story and wish I could finish it.

I should play it again. I liked enough about the game to get to the mid point, where you find out that it was all your fault, but I couldn't stand the sudden shift in personality he exhibited. He was unique amongst Tales protags, because he was a whiny, petulant brat. Then he turned into a typical Tales choir-boy protag after that. Lame.

Graces F is fun if you're not playing on Chaos mode, then it just becomes fucking super flowchart.

Without context it's not that major of a spoiler, since the event in question is p obvious anyway when u play the game.

At the least, there's much greater plot twists than that.

I played some Tales game that was some girl exploring some ruins then going back to some little village town to talk to her people or whatever. I found that boring and quit.

Isn't that how Berseria starts? Sounds like you quit like 5 seconds before the actual plot kicked in.

Field of Fonons was a waste IMO. I could count on one hand how many times an opportunity came up to use the system my entire playthrough.

You'll love Vesperia's battle system if you liked Abyss. Especially with the improvements that the PS3 (and therefore upcoming remaster) version has over the 360 version. 16 special attacks can be shortcut and honestly, Yuri could take up all of those shortcuts and create some flashy elaborate combos even without using overlimit gauges and trigger the skill that gives him a level 3 gauge simply by getting a high enough combo.

Play on higher difficulties or against the super boss. Holy and dark spells from tear and anise with the right mod whatevers will make them instantly be filled, and that in turn lets you spam upgraded skills with guy and Luke, which is really helpful if you know what modified skills end up giving what special effects.

It didn't seem super good even in the sub 1-hour I played.

I liked Berseria. I like that it's not a typical tale about saving the world, and that the sole reason for Velvet's existence is as a weapon of vengeance. It got a little stale when she showed only that aspect of her personality, but she showed character growth and different layers to her personality. You most definitely didn't play it enough.
