I threw in some spinach, celery, frozen banana, strawberry and peach mix, along with some almond milk into a vitamix.

Its actually pretty tasty surprisingly. Even my husband made a face when I gave him a glass but then liked it once he tasted it.

Anyone else try it or have good recipes?

We do this at home as well. Frozen mixed berries and kale are a couple more things we add.

Nice. I will try adding kale when Im feeling more brave. Its a bit too bitter for me but I imagine it goes down better with berries.

Do you use water or almond milk for liquid?

My favorite one to make is kale, mixed frozen berries, fresh ginger, pear, and water. Cleans you right out.

Yeah, if you use like an inch of ginger root in it you'll give it a nice bite, so you get more flavor depth than just the sweetness the fruit provides. Plus, pear is more mellow than other fruits you could use. Be careful with adding too much fruit though, you can quickly turn a healthy shake into something absolutely loaded with sugars.

I just bought some Asian pears today so Ill try throwing some in. Ill get ginger next time Im doing groceries. I agree, I avoid adding too much fruit. A little for some sweetness is what I aim for.
