I just upgraded the one I've had for a while and the difference is mind-blowing. I wasn't ware the tech had changed so dramatically.



The single bulb just looks like a flat little button but it's brighter than my old one that had like 9 LEDs.



Plus it's hefty enough that I could probably beat someone to death with it if I had to (if it was a matter of self-defense). I'm not a violent person, but just knowing that I could rely on it in such a scenario is also quite nice.

I got a nice one last year. Small, but surprisingly heavy. Can go from a wide to tight beam, and pressing the one button cycles between high, low, flashing, and SOS.

Who upgrades an existing flashlight instead of just buying a new one? Is that a thing? Lol

Oh, well that's pretty much what I meant. I know there are people out there who build flashlights as a hobby, though, so actual upgrading is a thing too.
