So you know how there were fractured dimensions and Ludger and the gang supposedly came from the main dimension? Well what a mindfuck it would've been if you find out that actually the Ludger that you had been following the entire game was actually from a fractured dimension and essentially you're trying to fight for the survival of your dimension despite it not even being a real one while the main villain(let's just say it's another alternate version of Ludger, possibly Victor) wanted to destroy you because you're the catalyst.

The singular good thing from Xillia 2 was the aforementioned fat cat.

So yes that's sorta similar but in Abyss that was the first instance of a replica in the entire story up to that point. With my idea you would've been conditioned to think that fractured dimensions were bad and you're the good guys and you're doing the right thing only to find out that you're actually destroying the fabric of reality for your own survival.

I tried playing Xillia 2 immediately after playing Xillia, but I got quickly burned out by it. I didn't like how it was mostly an asset flip, and how you got all your party members relatively quickly. Yeah, I know that they intended it as a glorified epilogue, but I still couldn't get into it.
