Had a couple gift cards, went to target, noticed they had Battlefield 5 in a slot with a sticker that said 30 bucks. Said cool, got a guy, he pulled it out, priced it at the stand, realized it was supposed to be 80. Still gave me the 30 dollar price. Good shit

I work at Walmart and policy is of that happens to give the person a discount, but not to take that big a hit on the price.

Publix, a supermarket, gives stuff for free if it rings up the wrong price. One time a huge train set rang up as $90 instead of $80 like the price tag said. Dude got it for free.

There's the Scanning Code of Practice in Canada which is voluntary for retailers to join, but like Walmart Canada is in it.

I used to work at a place that wasn't part of it and they were absolute fucking trash at ensuring shelf tag pricing was accurate.

I made an entire pitch for why they should do it and they were like "lol no it'd cost to much to implement and maintain policies and processes" and all I could really say was "Cool so you'd prefer to continue to jerk around your customers to save money"

That happened when i bought my car. Somebody mistakenly wrote a price that was 2000 bucks less on the windshield. He went out and checked, came back in and said oh what the hell, i'll honor that.
