There is a certain class of people in this country that just treat every little problem that they identify in themselves and their children with medication rather than just working through it and then they end up in this cycle of chasing a mythical state of bliss by popping pills all day.

a lot of issues are solved with eating well, sleeping well, and exercising regularly. but medications are a shortcut that don't fix the underlying problems and just treat the symptoms. they're needed in some cases for sure, but definitely not at the rate they're used. so many neets who eat junk food and stay up gaming till 4am are on one drug or another instead of just dedicating to healthy habits
