There's no point to talking about. It boils down to these simple facts.

Would complete and total gun control be a good thing overall for the United States? Yes.

Is it possible to implement in the United States? No. At our current state it is literally impossible to remove all the guns from everyone in this country without causing catastrophic events.

So what's the point in talking about it?

Gun control works about as well as pulling out the front teeth of all children just because a few kids like to bite.

Only if we can talk about who is responsible for your personal safety. Note that the courts have repeatedly ruled the government/police are not.

Common mistake. The answer you're looking for is no.

Lol, yeah, because it's not like people can use knives, acid, bombs, or a car to kill anyone either right? Let's put it all on guns and ban them so innocent people can't protect themselves. Let's also not address that a gun by itself can't commit a mass shooting, because there always has to be someone pulling the trigger.

I mean, it's not like we need an answer instantaneously. We could implement something that could go in effect over the course of years or decades.

Yes.

Take away the guns and you gonna have another Oklahoma bombing again. Then what's gonna be your next move? People can create bombs with materials from a Home Depot or Walmart.
