This is another example of their reverse order thinking that skips to conclusions and ignores causes.

They go "the results of such a revelation would turn the world on its head" while again skipping the whole evidence thing.

You have no reason to believe the Earth is flat. You're saying you believe it's flat because it would be a devastating revelation.
