It's a toss up between Rondo and IV for me.

I played through all of the Mario-like Castlevania games when I was older (played C2, SotN, and CotM when they came out), and got the most fun out of C1 and C3. I think C3 is the best. It starts out super hard, but you learn to play it and it becomes pretty simple. The feedback is instant, so you usually know when you mess up and why. And there's a ton of variety with the different paths. SC4 definitely has great style, though. I really need to sit down and actually beat 1 or play 3. I've been really wanting to play 3 because it sounds awesome. I've just been kinda lagging on my replay of SotN. I might get Dracula X Chronicles and play Rondo of Blood too.
