I am wondering that if trolls as well as conservatives/alt-righters/right-wingers realize that even if Trump is gone, that this will leave a very bad stigma/bad mark on them in the long run? Not only for constantly defending him, but for racism as well?

They can't easily deny that they didn't support Trump, due to the internet & social media. It isn't like the Richard Nixon days in which there's no internet, no social media, no technology, or anything of the sort. All future employers, friends, families, etc. have to do, is Google their names through a Google search. It's all there.

I think we'll be able to forgive voting for Trump.

Most of my family is conservative/trump supporters. I don't hold it against them and we generally don't talk politics in the first place. They have their reasons and I have mine. It really doesn't affect anyone at the family level and I love them all.

However, even if I can agree to disagree on their views, I definitely wont let them forget this disaster of a presidency. When Trump's behind bars I'll be sure to remind them about it whenever the conversation floats in that direction.
