I've played a few so yeah. They need to be designed well so that important objects aren't easily missed and puzzles make sense. Trial and error in this genre can be tiring.

I like some. One that stood out to me was Laura Bow 2: The Dagger of Amon Ra. I miss it actually. I can't find a voiced version anywhere though.

Oh and I cant forget Star Trek: Judgement Rites. Best Star Trek game period. Man I wish they had done one with TNG crew though.

Star Trek: a final unity if you haven't heard of it is almost as good

I've only played a few of them and not very intently. They have a certain charm but I always felt like they tended to be too esoteric, and at this point a dated formula.

Giving a yes or no answer is tough. I'd say more that I appreciate them than like them

That's a text adventure, not a point and click.

Well I mean like the interplay games like Kings Quest and others like Hugo's House of Horrors

I think you get the idea anyway, text adventures effectively use the same gameplay principles as point and click. Assuming you mean ones where just the input is text, not the entire game.

Not particularly.

I do like several of the telltale games and life is strange, which I feel are like the closest modern equivalants to them.

I liked Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle. I haven't really played a ton of them.

Also the Telltale BttF game if that counts

Not really. You're typing the entire time for a game like Zork. Unless you mean the graphical version.

This for me. Can't say I enjoyed hunting for that one specific pixel or randomly trying to combine items until something happens.

I tried getting into that but mighta I was too young at the time. Certain puzzles were beyond me and/or I felt compelled to keep a notepad for notes off to the side.

I really wish they'd made this as the next movie instead of that stupid Crystal Skull.

That came out before Disney bought LucasArts. I guess they could attempt it now.
