He's somewhat of a religious person and has very high moral standards, dude's almost a saint, so you can imagine his reaction. I took him to a bar and he told me all this after a few beers. Dude's devastated and thinking of leaving her, kinda feel bad for him, they've been together since middle school, over 15 years (they never married and don't have kids though).

I tried my best to cheer him up and even straight up told him to accept the deal and try it out, but he lashed at me and got pissed and left me with the bill lol.

Having been in a similar situation, it is very very easy to get jealous and tears come frequently from someone at least.

It certainly can work for some, but no chance if already going into it uncertain.
