I used to grab a footlong almost daily on my way home from school in HS. I went there so often that the manager always knew my order and was real chummy with me. Almost got hired there too when I tried looking for my first job a year or so later.

Nowadays, not so much at all. I like Jimmy Johns more now even though I spend like twice as much there as I ever did at Subway.

Subway was great like 15 years ago then they slowly became worse and worse until now I can't stand them.

For a while theor breakfast held its quality inexplicably. I used to grab a ham and egg on flatbread with pepper jack, spinach, bell peppers, red onion and salt and pepper every weekday for like two months in college. But eventually even that went to crap.

The bread smell is rank, but they're decent for the price and how abundant they are. More fresh vegetables than the other national sub chains -- granted Sheetz/Get Go/WaWa are all much better in that regard, and penn station tastes the best.

Much more appealing to me than firehouse/jersey mikes where the menu is almost literally only coldcuts. At subway i can get veggie patties, roasted chicken breast, rotisserie chicken, carved Turkey. Plus some of their dressings are great -- like the aoli they have right now, the cranberry mustard during Thanksgiving, and the sweet onion

The only good thing quiznos ever did was use rathergood for their advertising.

They have gone downhill over there years. The only good thing I can say about them is the bread always smells good but it doesn't carry over into the actual taste. The best place for a sandwich is a local deli. I gotta great one nearby, it's like an extra dollar but they're bigger and better.

Its ok in a pinch. I prefer Jersey Mikes or Sub Station II. Blimpies used to be above Subway.

I first tried it in 2008, many of those locations I went to in Manhattan have closed down. I also used to get it in 2015 when my class would finish at 9:30pm and nothing else was open at that hour and it was a 1.5 hour commute home. But I got tired of it and haven't had it in a year or so.

Hard to argue with that. I'd probably stick Jersey Mike's in place of Potbelly because I've never had potbelly but everything else looks good.

Also might switch the "=" to ">" because I like quiznos a tidbit more than JJ's, but JJ's is def cheaper.

They used to be good back in the day, but now their quality has gone down and they are just outclassed by some of these other national sub chains. I'll happily pay more for Firehouse because it's worth it
