All of this is meaningless to me. We should just end wage labor all together before automation sets the stage for it anyway.

Then the price of sale for everything would go up. You would be paying $28 a gallon of gas

No, not really. Multiple ways around this. Like corporal punishment for any oil and gas industry executives who decide gee, everyone makes $2000 a month, lets raise prices nearly 1000%

I'll play along.

- Make the rich pay their taxes
- Cut the military budget
- Cut sports/athlete budget

Not realistic at all but those are 3 big money sinks that could go back to us.

Yes sports are a waste of money

.
The government doesnt pay athletes/teams so they couldnt give that money back to anyone. Sports are an entirely optional expense. If consumers wanted that money back its as simple as dont spend it.

Id like to just be taxed at a lower level. I seem to be losing about 20% so for every $5,000 I make $1,000 goes to someone else. Thats a decent amount of money. I dont have the answers but that would be a start.

Good post.

Its fucking horseshit that I only take home 5/8 of my yearly salary.

And professional athletes pay works entirely differently. If people keep paying $7 a beer then they get hundreds of thousands dollar salaries. Want them to make 5 figures? Dont go to the games, dont turn on the tv and tell everyone you know not to either. Good luck lol.

Looks like you were inspired by my UBI thread lol

Health care, education, and anything dealing with the law should all be free and wealthy individuals should have to use the same legal services as poor ones. The tax payer should pay for it. Big corporations should be mandated to pay a percentage of their yearly profits and everyone who has more money than one can reasonably spend in a lifetime should also have to relinquish that disposable income. I feel like I'm missing some stuff but you get the jist, basically everything that is wrong with america should be fixed because we have the internet and almost everyone has a smartphone and if it's secure enough we could also make sure a lot more people can vote as well. Now to play the waiting game for 20-30 years while politicians catch up.

I don't know what you're trying to say with that, but any politician that takes advantage of their position should be sent to prison.

No but the government pays for their billion dollar stadiums. Also the NFL is a non profit organization for some reason?

"I can't think of a more pressing issue facing a socialist society than the allocation of beachfront homes" -Thomas Sowell

Here's the context you're missing:

Basic Economics, p.7-8
Many people see prices as simply obstacles to their getting the things they want. Those who would like to live in a beach-front home, for example, may abandon such plans when they discover how expensive beach-front property is. But high prices are not the reason we cannot all live on the beach front. On the contrary, the inherent reality is that there are not nearly enough beach-front homes to go around and prices simply convey that underlying reality. When many people bid for a relatively few homes, those homes become very expensive because of limited supply. But it is not the prices that cause the scarcity, which would exist whatever other economic or social arrangements might be used inestead of prices.

Pretty rare for a stadiuum to be built or renovated. Maybe once every 30 years? Teams also out up some money it's not all public funding. The revenue those stadiums bring in also goes back into the economy of the community.

Professional sports are not the reason people are poor. The owners paying these players are billionaires. It's not coming from you and I.

Nah, people will pay whether it's through taxes or absurd ticket prices. The stadium costs will get passed along somehow because those stadiums aren't just used for professional sports. Arrowhead stadium for example hosts events all the time.

so around 252 million people going by 2017's census and TC's standards.

252 million people * 2000/month * 12 months = $6 trillion, 48 billion/ year

Around $4 trillion was official budget in 2017
https://www.cbo.gov/publication/53624

Gov would have to cancel out all current expenditures and then add $2 trillion, 48 billion somehow out of thin air just to pay for it.
