and yet they're totally fine with ordering edamame or things with soy sauce or whatever (even after i explain to them that those things have gluten in them; like, one even tried to correct me by saying that gluten is only found in wheat)

i just don't get it

or if you're just trying to adopt a trendy diet or whatever (as fucking stupid as that is), then at least don't half-ass it

That's because 90% of people that claim gluten intolerance are morons that can eat gluten, but are incredibly stupid and believe that gluten is unhealthy, even though that's completely false.

And then another 5% of people that claim gluten intolerance genuinely believe they are, but actually aren't.

If you can tolerate those types of annoying assholes more power to you.

Just the other day I was telling someone if I ran a place I would have a sign that says "No gluten-free, no soy, no sugar-free. No special orders. Food prepared as described." Keeps things simple.
