They made 2.6 million of them from the Denver mint. That is the lowest mintage for any Jefferson nickel.

And, I always see tons of 1950 nickels in my drawers(cash register...pants...etc) so you could find one possibly.

I have not. They can sell for like 5-10 dollars.

I had a penny from 1916 with the King's head on it. Which isn't common for us to see because we've had the Queen on ours since before my time.

also check out the steps on monticello. if you have a nickel such as this one where all of the steps form a line across and arent faded, interrupted, etc they can be worth a lot more. its called a full steps nickel. Not a ton of nickels from this around this time period received a good strike and had the steps, plus wear and tear over the years and there you have it.
