I was really hoping (and expecting) this was going to be a first year release for the Switch, but it turns out that even a second year release was perhaps a bit optimistic. I'd be very surprised if it didn't come out in 2019, but with Nintendo, who the fuck knows? This was probably the main game I wanted for the Switch, but I'm starting to wonder if it even exists. Of course, Nintendo messed us around with Pikmin 3 for a long time, and that came out (eventually). I wish they would make this a priority. Forget MP4, and Smash DLC, just focus on this. I wonder if they weren't satisfied with it. Or maybe when they were preparing to put it on Switch instead, it got deprioritized so they could work on BOTW and other games.

If a Nintendo game doesn't have a trailer yet, you should not expect it for at least a full year. Pikmin 4 is coming June 2020 at the very earliest. Same for Metroid Prime 4.

They probably scrapped it and moved development to the Switch after seeing how badly the Wii U was doing.
