It's an excellent film, with tons of great action (which holds up very well) and plenty of good characterisations and good plot, but it's just so long. About 2:20. That's why I hardly ever rewatch it. And it clearly could've been pared down, maybe cut or shorten some of the earlier content. For me, films should generally be between about 1:30 and 1:45. Great length for a film, and assuming it's good, that makes it quite rewatchable. Although, I certainly won't deny there have been some really good long films. Terminator 2 would be an obvious example. Also, Blue is the Warmest Colour (about 2:40), The Godfather Part 2 (about 3:05), and Nymphomaniac (about 4:00). What do you think about Terminator 2?
