It was great. My father and I both enjoyed it. Near as I can figure there are three "issues" with the film.
1. Professional Critics hate it, but don't give any real reasons. Sounds like they are just sick to death of Comic Book films, which most of them didn't like to start with, and are just hoping for the genre to die off. 2. Comic fans who just can't fathom Venom without Spider-man. After Spider-man 3, I am open to new interpretations despite being a fan of the comics myself. 3. People offended by the dark humor/violence. Apparently the idea is that Deadpool has the humor market cornered. The lines are funny as a viewer but Venom is not joking about eating people, nor is it joking about being invested in Eddy's love life. As Venom said it was a loser among it's own, it's romantic, and hungry. Honestly I thought it was great all around. I didnt care much for Riots host as the bad guy, honestly. He was a scrawny git and not very menacing even when he tried to be.
