can the curse ghost demon thing swim? or would it walk on the bottom of the sea? I bet if you had enough money you could just fly across the sea once a week or something and be fine

I doubt it can swim across the ocean, but who knows? You'll never know for certain if it can get at you eventually.

But the horror is not knowing how close it is and how long it takes to catch up. This doesn't solve that issue.

What if you just walk around downtown? Would it be slapping everybody out of its way following you? Everyone would definitely notice something is up by then.
