It has top tier sales with their main games, then theres Mario Kart which is also really popular, and then below that you even have Mario Tennis and other Mario sports games, Mario Party, and even the Mario RPG games. i think almost anyone in the first world/ with access to technology would recognize Mario, by name alone.
