Why did they started the hip hop music on their trailers? The music itself is pretty dope, but it doesnt fit the MK theme.

It should have 90s MK style oriental music or maybe some heavy metal.

Yeah they put alot of new youngbloods up in there but I think some of the people wanted the original cast back. I wonder will they introduce that silly system Injustice 2 had where you gained gear and they had stats on them.

That's just marketing, I suppose. There was probably some sort of correlation between fans of Mortal Kombat and rap music.
I could have probably thought of a better choice of song, maybe, but I didn't really mind this overall.

I hope they do a few things different like better stages (they weren't bad in X, most just didn't have a classic feel), better unlocks, a good mix of old and brand new characters, etc.

I thought 9 was fantastic. Skipped 10 though, I felt it didn't quite "feel" like how a MK should be, the ninjas didn't look ninja enough, lots of new characters (I don't like new characters, just put every single canon ones from all the previous games and only add one or two new ones MAX and not the freaking DAUGHER or whatever other NEPHEW of existing characters, just to slap their last name on them), I dunno...
Hopefully this one goes back to ninjas looking ninja and mysterious.

Isn't it both since at the end of MKX he absorbed a bunch of dark energy from the jinsei chamber? Or something like that. I assumed he'd be one of the bad guys. Or at the very least a good guy gone rogue.
