If youve been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know were also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and were excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I wont tell you where to look)

Game Awards?

I think this could also be a hint for a potential Mass Effect remaster?

As busy as we are with Anthem, theres a lot more going on at BioWare. A couple of weeks ago it was once again N7 Day. Its one of my favorite times of the year a day when people around the world share their experiences with Mass Effect. Its so inspiring to know that there are so many fans of the series out there that are enjoying the games weve made, and hoping that well make more. We announced one of the things weve done recently (a 4k enhancement to Mass Effect: Andromeda on Xbox One) but as we alluded to in our N7 Day video, that was just a small part of the plans were making for Mass Effect going forward.

If they don't fuck it up, I'd be down to replay origins and me2 again.

I like the series enough to at least consider a new game, even though I've still only played the original and Inquisition. I was actually just wondering what ever happened with it a day or two ago, so hopefully the news goes well and isn't just a port/spinoff.

Dragon Age 4 has had some sort of development issues and pivoted to a new direction at some point. That combined with Anthem is why we haven't seen anything for a long time.

Honestly, I've never been able to replay any of the Mass Effect games since 3.

I try to start, but no matter what I get really disappointed about halfway through any of them and stop.

Maybe remasters could fix this, but only if there are some major gameplay overhauls to Mass Effect 1.

Exactly. Trespasser was pretty damn good as an epilogue for Inquisition and as a great setup for the next one.

Exactly. Trespasser was pretty damn good as an epilogue for Inquisition and as a great setup for the next one.

Inquisition was pretty darn good. I've replayed all three games over summer. I'd say Inquisition as a package with the DLC's and gameplay after all the patch add-ons, ranks slightly under DA:O.

Im hyped for the next game story-wise, the lore revelations were substantial.

I think Mass Effect Andromeda spooked them though. They delayed Anthem for over a year because of that blunder.

It's not my sort of game but not being barebones shit or a buggy mess alone would put it above how the majority of the competition launched these kinds of games.

Gamers have been getting angry pretty quickly. It's a stressful time to be a developer, especially in the AAA sphere. The margin of error is slim, and I like that people are holding them more accountable than they have in the past.
