not true if it's the same bank, I could open up my bank's app, transfer in seconds and the funds are immediately available. Not that I actually have much at all in my savings, but between different accounts in the same bank I can shift stuff around and not have to wait any amount of time for it to be available

I meant not easily accessed in the case of having your debit card stolen. That's honestly the only reason I have a savings account. I don't keep more than a couple grand in my checking.
