Current Events > Unimportant very minor moments you remember from your childhood?

How common is this? I'm guessing everyone has them, but I don't believe I've ever heard it discussed.

To be more detailed, I'm referring to extremely unimportant, unimpactful things from when you were very young that for no discernible reason, you remember well.

For example, my memory tends to be quite shit and I remember the basics from elementary school and the more important stuff like field trips or the time I smashed my lunchbox over someone's head, but other than that it's gone. However, I remember back in 2nd grade when someone tried the "What are you eating under there?" joke on me and I just kept answering "Under what?" over and over again ruining his punchline. He tried for like 2 or 3 minutes to get me to say "Under where?" and I wasn't being a smartass, I just didn't bite and it was really lame.

Thought about this again tonight and got me thinking about all this. Maybe there was a reason that stuck with me. Maybe it was teaching me how a joke could go wrong when the person you're setting up doesn't play into it? I've made my fair share of jokes that flopped on me since and it's always awful, so maybe that has some sort of connection since I'm usually making wisecracks with friends?

So do you have any weird moments that stuck with you years and years later in life without any clear reason why?

When I was about 5 months old, I remember sitting in my grandmother's neighbour's house, next to a table with a glass miniature of Cinderella's carriage on it.

When I was 4 I had a dream I was a cowboy in a traditional wild-west setting, though this was pretty irrelevant since the only thing I did in the dream was purchase a gumball from a gumball machine. I remember I woke up as soon as I was about to put the gumball in my mouth; my fingers were touching my teeth but the gumball was gone. :(

When i was a,wee boy i watched the anime cassern which the main character turned into a,cyborg to fight evil robot.

That gave me paranoia that i have been turned into a robot without me knowing, so everytime got a would i was glad to see blood because that makes me think i am still a human.

Kinda ironic, because i wish superior robot body is a thing before i become frail old man.

i remember being like 8 years old. i was sitting in the car and i remember thinking "i am going to remember the next sign I see"

and i remember it to this day. it was a sign saying 110km to brisbane

The earliest memory I have (which is also the least important) is being in my car seat at night, and my mom putting a can of baby formula in the seat with me, I suppose because she didn't have anywhere else to put it. I asked her about it years later, and it was apparently from one winter where she'd gotten off work late (hence the darkness), and had gone by the drive-through of a pharmacy to buy enough formula to last me through the night. I was, I think, about 2 at the time.

Reminds me of the time when I was riding with my dad.

This car coming at us was being scoped and followed by a police car.

The car tried to make a sudden turn and it's wheels hit the curb.

My dad says "he's going to get blue lighted" and sure enough the driver did.

I assumed the guy was drunk, bad plates or nervous for some reason.
