Edit:. He did, but he was scared because he thought he was a criminal (because of the toothbrush). And there's also the fact that's he's 8-years-old. However, you'd think the officer that came by would have tried harder to search for him.

I'd say it goes AGAINST gun ownership, because it showed how you could easily kill people without a gun. Because Science & other shows have tested the lethality of kevin's traps and most of them would either seriously injure or just kill you outright. The paintcans on the stairs trap was surprisingly deadly.
