These are subjects I know about. The majority of this information was gleaned from Wikipedia articles and various documentaries I have consumed this year. I won't bother to mention Wikis, but below I have listed various documentaries I have watched.

Hitler's life (about 5 hours)
Angela Merkal (about 1 hour)
Helmut Kohl (about 1 hour)
Wilhelm II (about 1 hour)
Wilhelm I and Otto von Bismarck (about 1 hour)
East Germany (about 7 hours, but I watched about half)
Living in modern Germany (about 1 hour)
Albert Speer (about 1 hour)
Joseph Goebbels (about 1 hour)
World War 2 (about 6 hours)

That's approximately 21 hours of documentaries, covering a variety of important content from various time periods. And, like I said, I've read plenty of Wikis as well.

There's also various fiction books I've read on the subject. Random examples include HHHH (which is about the assasination of Himmler), City of Women (about Nazi Germany in general), and Wetlands (about life in modern Germany, and sexuality in young people).

I don't know why this board has gotten into the habit of saying I know little, or nothing about Germany. I have consumed large amounts of information on the subject, and my retention is reasonably good. I'm certainly not an expert on the subject, but I'm pretty knowledgeable.

What do you have to say to this?

Why? Why can't you respond more extensively, and dare I say it, intelligently? To say nothing of you're saying that because I posted the topic, not because you actually disagree.

How does one acquire information on a subject, anyway? It seems to me that books, articles and documentaries are a pretty good start.

When did I say that? Although, when it comes to Tar, he proved his ignorance / deceit when I asked him the very first question, where he denied point blank something that I provided plenty of evident to support. That casts doubt on every other answer he gave.

Lol. Asking questions is how you find out things. That doesn't mean a person knows hardly anything about a subject; it just means they want to know even more.

I refuse to believe that wasn't a troll post.

I don't know much at all about Hegel, I admit. Volkisch was a populist movement, with an emphasis on folklore and natural / rural things. It was around from the 19th century up until the end of the Weimar Republic, although it did have SOME influence on the Nazi Regime, such as the idea of "blood and soil".

I guess I don't know TC very well, but if somebody had a habit of asking a lot of questions about a particular subject, it very well likely means that they are interested in that subject. And if somebody is interested in a subject, there's a good chance they've done a fair amount of research on the subject. I don't have a horse in this fight, just following where my deductive reasoning takes me.
