And it's not The Winds Of Winter

At least he wrote most of this shit years ago, and that I'm very excited to read it (It's Targaryen history. Same as the short stories of, "The Princess and The Queen," and, "The Rouge Prince," but with more details than the original short stories.) with two of them being new. Also has a lot of illistrations

Sigh, I just want The Winds of Winter. Dreaming of Spring is a dead concept unless he just releases them both at the same time and that's why it's taking so god damn long.

He's never going to finish. Any motivation he had to finish his books died the moment HBO started adapting his scripts and passing where the books were. I suspect he'll be more motivated to do stuff like this from here on out because it gives him back creative control over things people won't already have seen and gives HBO more crap they can use to create spin-off series once the main line is finished.

After all these years, I'm just happy to get something. I honestly gave up hope a long time ago, so I'll that what I can get. I really love the lore in the series, and this is a lore book.

I couldn't give less of a shit about the history in the series if the series itself is never going to be continued. Why even bother reading it

Actually that's not entirely true; the CK2 mod gets its history more fleshed out by this shit so that's great. I just wish I could give them money for it
