People save a dog over a toddler if the dog is their pet and the toddler is a strangers child, people consider their pets family.

If it was their toddler people would not vote to save the dog, this is not hard to understand but I decided to spell it out for ya anyway.

Random both? which ever is closest. Same distance most likely the baby, unless it is a really cute dog begging to be saved and a super homely baby.

but a lot of people do find it weird that people would save a dog

so i'm asking, in response to that, whether it's really all that weird (that is, to save a dog over a toddler)

This topic is a spinoff of a topic about the same thing in which it is "Your Dog". It is perfectly reasonable to think that still applies here. The fact that you fail to grasp that and you are getting so angry over it is laughable. Especially, considering your sig is "live and let live".
