Actually, IQ stays fairy constant throughout your life Nah. Your actual IQ score stays consistent but that's because it has an age handicap to compensate. Your cognitive ability does decrease with old age. 100 at age 65 is less intelligent than 100 at age 25 Which is unrelated to IQ as the score you have is only relevant in relation to people the same age who took the same test. If you have a strong underlying theory that "intelligence" is some immutable characteristic, then any discovery of variation due to life events, such as increased education, would either demonstrate evidence against that theory or the measurement device. It seems unlikely that "intelligence" is immutable though, given that the brain is mutable. I scored 132 on that one. The only other ones I've taken we're online ones just for fun, and generally get somewhere around 120-140ish, but I don't really out much stock into this. Everyone is smart in different ways, some are clever, others perceptive, some intuitive and quick learning, others are book smart or have some innate understanding of certain things.
