believe you spend frivolously?
How often do you eat out when you could have prepared a meal instead?
How often do you buy morning/afternoon coffees?
Are you currently living paycheck to paycheck, but could break that cycle with monetary discipline?

I literally keep track of every dollar that hits/leaves my bank account, down to the cent, on a monthly basis. I've kept an excel spreadsheet since 2014. So to answer your questions....

I very rarely spend frivolously. And when I do it's never for a lot of money.

I eat out when I go on dates, and only every now and then do I eat fast food. I usually prepare my own stuff.

I never buy coffee, ever.

I have never lived paycheck to paycheck.

Good man!
Keeping an up to date budget is so so important. Such a valuable, untaught life skill.

TBH none of this stuff was ever "taught" to me. It just felt like common sense.

I save roughly 40% of every dollar I earn post tax, which equates to roughly 55% pretax if you include employer contributions and tax savings.

Fully max my SIMPLE IRA, Roth IRA, HSA, and have a checking account with three months expenses as an emergency fund.

I also have a cryptocurrency portfolio in the background, but since they are eating shit right now I don't talk about it.
