I dont have a switch yet... and since im hearing rumors of a stronger switch coming in 2019, im waiting for news on that

I do intend to play this though. Whilst i did have a GBC and GBA i never did get Pokemon for either back in the day (and ended up breaking the A button on both...)

Random battles was by far the worst aspect of Pokemon (IMO) and that's removed so this is a nice upgrade of a game for me.

Random battles have been replaced by pokemon appearing on the world map, you can run into these pokemon to trigger a catch screen the same as Pokemon GO. All pokemon get exp for catching the mon. As well trainer and gym battles still exist. Apparently trainer battles are more difficult than previous games.

I understand why people don't like this change, but for me it speeds up the progress of grinding and makes it much more enjoyable. I am really looking forward to the exclusion of random battles.

Idk about you guys but I never really had to grind in Pokmon and this was with me trying to evenly level my team up

There's like 10x as many trainers to compensate.

So, I know this is a shock, you actually legitimately have to Battle instead of knocking out defenseless trash mobs.

Wat. Outside of knocking out wild trash at the beginning until level 8-10, I never fought wild pokemon to catch up in levels lol. Especially since trained pokemon gave more exp than wilds at the same level

Yah, usually there was enough random trainers to keep up.
