I've met people that outright will describe evolution and just say that it's not evolution. They use some weird semantic argument instead.

Like, humans are the ones that categorize different species so really ancient wolves and dogs are the same thing. We just call them different things. Who draws the line of when something becomes mere adaptation or a different species?

While this isnt entirely wrong, it's not the fucking point and doesn't disprove evolution.

Yeah, we can observe evolution happen right in front of our very eyes by observing life forms with much shorter lifespans than our own. Fruit flies, for example. So there's really no denying it.

If your religion is putting you on the fence or making you disbelieve, I'd suggest maybe looking into the idea of believing in both. Believing in God and Jesus and stuff doesn't mean you have to reject science.

That reminds me of southcoast one time, when he saying that climate change is fake news, but that "weather patterns shift" for various reasons. He was laughed out of the topic when I called him out.
