It doesn't seem like it. It's just one suspension after another on this website. At some point you'd think the powers in charge would look at this and say "hey, maybe it's not the users that are the problem....maybe we are being too strict"

But I don't know...I guess it's hard for people to admit they're wrong and take a real critical look at what they're doing.

They're (the mods) not, and fuck off. Gamefaqs is one of the few active boards on the internet not overrun by mods with an agenda that ban people for whatever they feel like without recourse.

No. They have a real bias against people who are very philosophical and critical of all points of view. You question something and you get suspended even though the point of the question wasn't to make a point but to get people to think. It's really bad. If you think this place has friendly mods, you haven't been to many message boards. Sorry.

It's pretty easy to get suspended if you are a deep thinker or try to see things from certain angles. Even when you aren't advocating a behavior or celebrating it, you get suspended just for trying to understand the behavior or ask questions about it. It's silliness and it's an insult to higher discussions.

Maybe don't be a shitposter and you won't get suspended so much.

If somebody isn't understanding my post they should ask follow up questiond about it instead of mod me.

In fact there have been posts Ive made that could be interpreted a couple different ways. And Ive clarified my posts in that same topic yet was still modded for the post anyway even though my clarification proved that I wasn't meaning the post in an offensive way.

Bodybuilding forums, all the sports forums I go to, all the hobby forums I go to (cars, music, etc) all allow for people to have much more diverse opinions and question shit and all that. And they function just fine. And they have advertisers.

Seriously, if people are shitposting, then other users will call them out for it. Sometimes people are wrong. Sometimes people have shit opinions. Sure. But let others call them out for it instead of deleting the post and punishing. That just...makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

My style (on my other account) is to get to the very heart of every issue. What are people's values. Question everything. That sort of thing. It's almost as if people don't like it when somebody gets to the heart of an issue and really asks the tough questions.

Like, if I were to question why something is bad...I would get suspended here. Even though there's no harm in questioning anything. Even if it's something that should be obviously bad...so what? It's just a question. Answer the question and explain why it's bad. What is the worry? What is the fear? What is the harm? Absolutely nothing. Say it again, yeah! lol

You guys must browse shit forums. My experience is the opposite. Ive been modded here over 60 times in thr past few years whereas on the other 5 boards I post on (and post the same type of shit on) i have only been modded like 3 times, and it was for using words like the R word or other obvious rule violations.

Those boards understand that somebody's opinion on social issues and politics should almost never be modded just be you might disagree with them. Let the discussion take place. It works. Its better that way.

If you like all these other places so much why don't you just stay away? Seriously, if you have such a hard time posting without getting your ass handed to you, and I have a good idea who your main account is anyway, then perhaps this place just isn't for you and thus why would you want to stick around?

And no, some opinions and "questions" are stupid and don't deserve a respectful response. To question facts doesn't make you some "deep or free thinker", no matter how many times you use that for justification.
