California wildfires are actually perfectly natural and good for it's environment, it helps the soil for next year, people should stop building house's there (fire prone area's ) or just make the fucking homes whole outside asbestos if rich people want to live there so bad

Stop people from building houses in the areas they do.
Stop trying to prevent and fight every fire that pops up. Especially ones that pose no threat to homes or people.
Cut down dead trees afflicted with the bark beetle, environmentalists and endangered species be damned.

Because forests need to grow old and burn. It's a part of a forests' life cycle. Burning up clears the ground, allows sun to shine on the forest floor and makes the seeds disperse so the forests can start over. I mean damn, this is basic stuff. As a kid the Disney channel use to air little info-tainment pieces from the 50s-60s and one of them was specifically about forest lifecycles and how fire is necessary.
Because stopping all fires makes dead growth build up. It stagnates the underbrush so it dies too. It turns massive areas of forest into nothing but kindling. Decades of built up fire wood. A firestorm waiting to happen. And when it inevitably happens. The houses that were built where they shouldn't have been all burn anyway. The animals the rabid hippies tried to save the habitat of all die anyway. The habitats all burn anyway.
It's ridiculous.
And none of this has anything to do with climate change like some idiots claim it does.

Trump isn't wrong about liberal policy being part of the problem. Yeah, let's ban controlled burns for some fucking stupid ass reason because environmentalists with no real understanding of how the environment works bitched. But hey! At least that habitat you were trying to save survived right up until an even bigger fire killed all of the whatever animal it was anyway! He is however wrong to pull aid funds since helping states with disasters bigger than they can handle is one of the few things the Federal Government should be doing.

Asbestos is only non flammable. It will do nothing to stop a forest fire. The only thing it will accomplish is the buildings wont collapse.

He is not wrong that the approach we have had is poor. The approach we have basically creates a tinderbox that eventually becomes a mega fire and the fact we keep building more homes right smack dab in the middle of those tinderboxes doesnt help. California already was fairly wildfire prone. More humans + our current management and global warming or not we are gonna have a lot of wildfires.

Not exclusively a liberal thing(though California is pretty liberal) As for the rest of it...

Trump pulling funds from active fires is uh...a very bigly idea. OH LOOK HILIARY IS GONNA RUN IN 2020.....whew okay he has probably forgotten all about the fires already.

Trump say some stupid shit sometimes, but it doesn't mean he's wrong.

He's 100% right about poor forest management in California. You can't cut a few trees down without a needing some kind of environmental impact assessment. That's why timber companies don't even bother in California. Too much red tape just to cut down a few trees.

California requires some heavy tree thinning. What happens in all these wild fires and how it spreads so fast is because of crown fires. Imagine having 100 matches so close together that if you light one, it spreads to all of them in a matter of seconds. Because the trees are so dense, the top of trees catch fire and it just keeps spreading.

When you thin a forest, there is still the possible of crown fires, but it would require heavier winds to spread from one tree to the next. If they thin the trees and keep the fire on the ground, it spreads at a much slower rate and give firefights a chance to stop it before it causes mass destruction.

Controlled burns? lol.

Do you know how big California is and how much manpower/womanpower is required to do controlled burns? Controlled burns need to be done using specially trained personnel, and guess what a lot of people doing... fighting wildfires across California. And don't forget the red tape:

https://www.kqed.org/science/1927354/controlled-burns-can-help-solve-californias-fire-problem-so-why-arent-there-more-of-them

In order do a controlled burn, you need to do tons of paperwork and wait for months before you can do it. It's a complete waste of time.

It's time to give the timber companies some permits. Those trees won't go to waste. We import most of our wood from the state of Washington. This will reduce dependence on out of state imports.

No, that's dumb. We have plenty of examples of what happens to land once you allow it to be clearcut. And in those places where we've seen the effects of mass wastage, the ground doesn't move anywhere near as frequently as it does in Cali. I can live with companies waiting for a permit to enact a controlled burn, I don't think anyone can live once mountains start sliding down themselves and start burying towns because now there's not enough root mass holding the soil in place during one of our many many earthquakes. All you're doing is trading one ecological disaster for another.

There are barely any landslides in California. There is barely any rain to cause land slides. You're just imagining the severity of land slides as an excuse to not support what is needed to be done.

The chance of wildfire right now in California: Extremely high.
The chance of a land slide in California: Extremely low.

And guess what, Timber companies don't move that fast. If further assessment need to be done about land slides in the future before continuous tree thinning, it will happen. This is California, where environmentalists have more power than anyone else.

If they're afraid of land slides, they can start thinning in flat areas to prevent fires from spreading into residential neighborhoods.
