Batman going on murderous rampages completely misses the point of the character. Then they go too far in the other direction and have him spew silly jokes every 5 minutes in the sequel.

Bale Batman had meh fighting but the core of the character was dead on to what Batman should be like.

Could you imagine Affleck Batman ever having an internal conflict like this?

I try to think of these movies as elseworlds stories. Different universes and what not. I'd rather Batman not be a killer, but then again the 89 Batman is my favorite movie and Bats kills in that. And to be fair, Batman doesn't quit either and Nolan screwed that up.

I thought besides the killing part Batman was the only thing I liked in Batman vs Superman. They got the detective part right which other films didn't.

Never saw Justice League, but I imagine him cracking jokes was because of people complaining about the movies being too dark (rightfully so) and from Joss Wheden's reshoots or recuts or however they did it.

The DCEU is a mess regardless. The people in charge of it are idiots.

A whiny spoiled rich kid who never grew up?

I mean, it's possible for tragedy to do that to a person, but that doesn't make him an interesting character or an individual worthy of support.
