It's pretty similar to Sm4sh, but not nearly as defensive. I can already tell offstage encounters are gonna be huge.

Also, as someone who hated Sm4sh items, Ultimates we're honestly amazing. Besides the obvious power weapons, everything else felt like cool items instead of kill switches

Good to hear about items. Smash 4 had awful items. Almost always just played with them off.

I just hope they toned down the DLC characters. Corrin I could deal with, Bayo was just dumb.

I've always hated how defensive Smash 4 was and how easy it was to recover back to the stage.

I'm so glad the developers finally wised up and made the game more aggressive like Melee.

I'm not a Melee elitist btw.
I actually prefer to play Brawl over Melee(C. Falcon is so horribly bad in Brawl and I love it).

Hard to say. It looks bad when not playing, but not as much during playing. If anything, it allows you to keep track of everyone when sent flying by a single explosion

Just from the videos, I may wish it to be a little more combo heavy, but let's be honest, I'm sure gameplay will be amazing after a year or two of pro players with their hands on it.

I do unabashedly hate how long you stay in freefall/lag animation after an airdodge, however. Brawlout does that one thing much better.

The balloon-like knockback always looked worrisome to me but if it's not as bad while playing, maybe I'll get used to it. I'm really hoping my favorites from 4 will still be a blast to play.

Yeah the new air dodge is gonna cost people a lot of lives, especially if they don't have a amazing recovery.

the best way would be to let you choose which version of your character (or even crazier, pick moves from each game for each move) that would be ultimate.
