Still relevant. So, the policeman at the end, basically agrees with what he says, but he says "if I can tell you didn't do it, I'll let you go, because i'm not trying to prosecute innocent people". But yes, you're better off shutting the fuck up, but if you know you're guilty in a minor crime, you can go for honesty in order to get leniency.
