Matter fact is, the population at large is not really gonna care about whether or not gay/lesbians can get married. Yeah, the LGBT population when you include bisexuals or bicurious folks is fairly significant (especially when looking at women that experiment), but when you get down to actual marriage-thinking gays/lesbians, those numbers drop pretty dramatically. You might be talking about 5% of the adult population at most at that point, if not less. Let's say hypothetically that he's right that some time in the future gay marriage would've been effectively been acceptable in society, but who says that there would be less blood shed and violence during those times vs. modern time when the decision was forced? Throughout those times when gay marriage is illegal, do you really think that there wouldn't be people like antifa using violence to get their way? You're too young to understand this but the gay rights movement was hated and tiny in the 40s-60s and in the 70s-90s it was growing but still hated by the vast majority of the population. It was only the advent of modern day internet that turned the tide in the late 90s. When people older than you were growing up, they were doing so in enviroments where the majority of the population opposed equal rights for gays In your lifetime the majority of the population now supports equal rights for gays. and youre saying this growth is going to go backwards, not forwards?
