Sooo back when Frieza was wiping out all the Namekians, when only Piccolo and Nail fusing made them strong enough to combat Frieza in his second form, why didn't some other Namekians earlier on (pre-piccolo's return) say fuck the rules and fuse a few more people?

Seemed like a better idea rather than just sitting back and letting their race get wiped out

Wasn't Nail like heads and tails stronger than all of their other warriors? I don't think the average dudes fusing would have accomplished anything.

Plus, like I doubt the average person wants to fuse anyways because how does it determine who is the main body? Normally it just goes to the person who isn't currently dying. But how would it choose with normal, healthy namekians?

Not all Namekians were warriors and the average ones topped out with PL 3,000. Nail was a special case as he was over 10x stronger than that. Piccolo is also a special case as even the Great Elder said that he wouldn't have died vs the Saiyans if he'd been fused to Kami.

Long story short, Namekians were either healers with no battle power or warriors much weaker than Nappa.

Its never really explained how the fusion works either I guess.

Based off how strong Piccolo gets after fusing with Nail and Kami Id say it probably works out as a power multiplier.

Piccolo was already the strongest Namekian so his power multiplied by the fusion put him up to Frieza 2nd form tier.

Had Nail fused with anyone, assuming he hadnt already, his baseline power was so low he still wouldnt have been a challenge.

Nail was the strongest Namekian besides Piccolo. The others were either weak or not fighters so it wouldn't have mattered if they fused.

Also, Nail did not come back after the fusion. His power was added to Piccolo's.
