I hope he was able to get some of his ducks in a row. I'm kinda glad the hospice company called yesterday to tell me he was actually near death. I think that knowledge prepared me for this over the past 24 hours or so... Kinda sucks that I'm in Austin and couldn't be there with the family, but... Austin is my home and I've got stuff that needs to get done. I grew up apart from my dad for the vast majority of my life, so him dying doesn't really affect my actual life that much. He had about $1000 to his name and I don't even want that, let alone need it. It'll probably go towards the arrangements for burial and memorial or whatever any way. He has a car and a lawnmower and I don't need or want any of it. I think the car is already returned to the place he got it from because he hadn't paid it off, but...
